Janna knew how much Star and Marco meant to each other. Marco was surprised to hear Janna call them friends, but Janna always looked at him that way. All the teasing and being goofy was just her way of showing her friendship. She’s grown up with him throughout the years. Remember, Janna knew Marco since kindergarten.
Janna could see how upset Marco was over this. Marco had to sadly explain that Star destroyed magic, meaning she was left back on Mewni.
